Early childhood in the Netherlands

Wartime in Apeldoorn until ’52 Bomberstreams of the 8th USAAF made great impression
-
Moved to the Hague and completed highschool/college, then enrolled in the Royal Art Academy

Since 1970 numerous assignments in the aeronautical field. Has been commisioned by Fokker to reconstruct their entire line of aircraft from 1913 up to the nineties.

Also a series of paintings depicting modern weapons/aircraft for the General Staff Of the Royal Netherlands Air Force

Paintings and drawings can be seen at the Dutch Military Aircraft Museum at Soesterberg and several other locations

Last show was opened by the Commander in Chief Dutch Air Force

Works mainly in Gouache or Oils

All aircraft are constructed in perspective from 3vu’s, or when available from 5aspects

Photographs serve only to get detailing correct

Managed to aquire aPPL in 1972 and flew ex-military Piper L-18’and has some solo hours on the Tiger Moth. Had to give up flying for health reasons in 1986

At present lives in Blaricum near Amsterdam. Married and with two daughters
